today, september 11.

yesterday's m1 tournament was good. plate champs! but i think it could have been better if only IF ONLY my boots were not locked up in school =( i was sliding and rolling about in the mud and i could barely run =(

today is Rasul's birthday! happy happy birthday. i think math tutorial was cancelled specially for him.

on friday, went back to sc for teachers' day celebrations!

first time seeing nianci in a loooooong while. realised i missed sc as my second home. the atmosphere was really different from sa. when the teachers were performing on stage, the cheering was almost continous and terribly ear-splitting. however in sa, if the performance isnt particularly good, there's hardly any clapping at all.

played netball for awhile, but we all got really tired fast. but it was great catching up with everyone. photos on facebook! now if only joey had come =(

it's teachers' day today! (:

HAHA, how apt.

seniors farewell on sat!

the theme was "back to school." so here i am, and i think i look the part of a true-blue IJ girl.

i told yiwen to stand beside that sign. living proof that we are rebels =D

we were so bored we reverted back to childhood and started playing hopscotch.

highlight of the day: esther accidentally started a fire! too bad i was too stunned to take pictures. diana poured drink all over it and saved us all from burning in hell. so here's the heroine and the aftermath.

today, im finally...

i got a pleasant surprise when during training, i distractedly looked around to find keann and sher sneaking past me! so after training it was celebration time. highly embarassing too, i might add. haha.

bro wearing my birthday hat! i begged him to wear it and he finally conceded cos i insisted he couldnt refuse me, it was my birthday wish.

many thanks to keann, keenan, charr, and sher!

and happy birthday to Mr Keenan too! who btw drowned himself in the shower and came out soaking wet, just for the fun of it. i told my friend i needed a leash cos keenan and keann were running around the school with joy.

it was a good day today! thanks to all those who messaged me - phone, friendster, facebook. to those who shook hands with me. and to my class too! the sweet things got elise and I a cake each even though we supposedly shared leonard's cake yesterday.

i feel loved (:

today we went to school just to do reflections for service learning since we'd already done it on sat -.-

we went for the heartstrings walk! with mentally handicapped people. my buddy was John and he was 21 years old.

then han decided to give everyone a massage.

I'm on the edge of seventeen! and so is elise and huishan and uhhh joey's best friend in primary one i forgot what's her name but i think it starts with 'V'.

aileen knows i was debating over whether i should go to church today. well im so glad i did!

oh yes. i wanna help pay for your guitar girl! anything to further the kingdom =D

our church is catching on to the realm of the supernatural. han said that he was afraid of the whole speaking in tongues, uncontrollable crying and all sorts of weird things, but my reply was simply that if you're looking for religion, why would you want something that's so normal that it wouldn't even make you believe in a God that transcends this world we live in? doesnt the term religion bring to mind the realm of the supernatural? and anything that is out of this world is bound to be uncomfortable.

hence my discomfort tonight when some people started breaking out in high-pitched laughter. it kinda sounded like a witch cackling. just her way of laughing i guess. it's weird and all i know, but it just goes to show that there is something to the joy of the Lord.

a friend was so shocked that my church has female pastors. i was shocked that he was shocked. why not, really? true, paul said that women should keep quiet in church. something to that effect. but then again, when you think of all the outstanding women in the Bible, people like the prophetess Deborah who judged Israel, they were leaders and pastors in their own right. Women were never meant to be inferior to men, although by saying this I'm not advocating feminism. Women do have to submit to men, and their role is to be a helper to the man, who is a leader. But when there are so many men who fail to step up, step out, and take up leadership roles, women just have no choice but to be the ones who take responsibility. Plus, within the ranks of leadership there is hierarchy as well. Women will still be under men and in submission to them.

Looking at SA, my dad commented that our school is run by females. The principal and deputy principals, the president and vice-president of the student council, as well as the majority of the rest of the student council and house councils are females. where are the men?

and more importantly, WHERE IS THE MAN? I'VE BEEN WAITING ONLINE, HELLOOOOOO.

national day! alan called during cell and i crashed the pae gang of 08A06. only the second time i've seen national day fireworks live!

and my favourite..

it was so sweet how alan and dixon were trying to protect me from the supposedly pervertic crowds. lol. now I know for sure Dixon's bark is worse than his bite :P

i thought it was curiously interesting how everytime i miss youth service, something big happens. and it's not like i miss youth frequently or something. there's once i missed it when deborah reed was down *#(%&(@! amazing stuff that woman brings. anointed, really. and im not sure what happened on sat night but it sounded pretty awesome too. i think that's God warning me in that cute subtle way of his.

went for Day of His Power. and the part that impacted me most was when representatives from where the majority of singapore's migrant workers come from (e.g: the Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka) were invited onstage and the congregation knelt down to ask for forgiveness for the way we've mistreated them and dishonoured them. from now on, there better be a sharp decline in maid abuse cases, seriously. AND, in verbal abuse of construction workers ahemahem.

since national day's just over, i wanna declare this over Singapore.

I've never had such a strong allergic reaction before. and best of all, it happened the moment i stepped into the lecture theatre for math remedial. I was scratching like nobody's business and wondering why all the available mosquitoes in the room had decided to zoom in on me. church after, and I was granted a reprieve. but the moment i sat down at the prata shop downstairs with florence, it was time for butt-scratching all over again. it's quite embarassing y'know, to have to keep scratching your butt in public.

the butt was the worst-hit but i figured it'd be porn if i posted it up so ohwell.

believe me now? I WAS DISFIGURED (even more than normal).

thanks to chonghao, mum and boyfriend for praying for me (: when lil bro woke me up in the morn my skin was perfectly fine. but now there seems to be some stubborn bits that still refuse to go. keep me in your prayers, people!

aww. im missing national day celebrations and getting to dress Mr Tan up in magazines and whatnot.

i realised the last post was our 444th one! =D

anw this post is up for lazy joey. to publicise that next sunday her pw group is organising a business competition! they'll be providing materials and you create an apparel on the spot. so form groups of 4/5. anyone interested? just tag!

my pw has gone all the way back to square one. cos one fine day dp decided to sit in on our lesson to observe the teacher. instead she ended up worrying over our proj cos she thought it wasnt feasible. so a complete overhaul is in progress. and we were supposed to spend today discussing it but ahemahem our group leader didnt turn up!

tdy is the first time i've ever been back from school so early. two teachers on course so i ended at one! yay. came online to check if the man was on but =( today's his first day of school(: haha, how cute is that.

okay im going to treasure today and take a nice nap after devotion =D
